chanel

my love for chanel started back in 2003, when i first saw their inspired by ice cream, cruise collection 03/04. the whole collection is really lovely. i remembered it featured a chantilly lace t-shirt embroidered with a strawberry and raspberry coupe de glace, and a dress knotted at the neck like a scarf of foundation crepe de chine printed with the ice cream cocktail design. matching the candy colours of the clothing, accessories are essential to complete the look. the legendary chanel bag appears in tweed coated in ice cream colours. the french fashion house dictated a trend for tutti frutti footwear. i particularly love the dainty open pink sandals dressed with a bow.

i rediscovered chanel back in late 2005, when i was researching for my wedding gown. in fact my tea dress and wedding gown were inspired by their couture s/s 06.

everything is just too pretty. the models looked like fairies walking down the runway. babydolls of embroidered tulle, pastel pinks and teased ribbon or feather hems kept the mood light. chanel used all the pearls, sequins, trims and trinkets of the couture atelier with the lightness perfect for the modern day dresser or even a little girl in a candy store.

we woke up really early in the morning. we decided to take a spin down the changi point broadwalk. i can’t help but to take pictures of the beautiful sunrise.

the air was fresh, the company was great and the view was magnificant! what more can i ask for?
