the very first celebration

Sunday, November 16th, 2008

in a month, a red egg party must be thrown,
to formally welcome the little one to life, its new home.
eggs, symbolizing fertility are boiled hard,
then dyed red, for good luck will surely be in the child’s charge.

the snail and the cyclops: i bought the dress from a lovely voguette from vogue forum. i was really lucky! this dress is from lover’s black rose army s/s 07 collection. you can try ebay, sometimes it pops up there.

jasminesmt: i usually buy lover from australia stocklists, most do mail or phone orders.

sean and i decided to have our birthday dinner at wild rocket.
it’s funny how we celebrate our birthdays together every year (we are just a day apart!).

happy birthday my best friend
here’s to all the years we’ve shared together
all the fun we’ve had
you’re such a blessing
such a joy in my life
may the good Lord bless you
and may all your dreams come true

cosy tête-à-tête

“alice is bored of sitting on the riverbank with her sister, who is reading a book. suddenly she sees a white rabbit run past wearing a coat and carrying a watch, lamenting running late. she follows it down a rabbit hole and falls very slowly down a tunnel lined with curious objects. she lands in a long hallway lined with locked doors..”

stepping inside oomphatico’s, we were instantly teleported down the rabbit hole, into the world of alice in wonderland…

we were guests at canelé pâtisserie chocolaterie tea party. macarons and cakes, such a treat. candy roses were so very sweet.

ma maison

Thursday, July 24th, 2008

i realised i haven’t write about our love for food.

chanced upon this little resturant - ma maison last week.

ma maison has this charming english cottage theme. wooden tables covered with floral tablecloth. antique ornaments and old clocks can be found on the walls. lace curtains on windows. it’s a cozy little place with pretty interior.

they serve french-japanese food. we ordered salad and paella. they were delicious!

a huge brass key was placed on our table. we were asked to bring the key to the counter for payment.

i think we’ll have to visit them again very soon!
